  • If there is any bleeding when you brush you may have an infection of the gums called peiodontal disease (very common). Applying 1 drop pf any germicidal 'essential oil' a couple of times a day, directly to the gums will normally clear things up quickly. A mixture of tea tree oil and peppermint oil (50/50) worked well for me.
  • I actually have a fair bit of recession! I have been told I can only try to manage it from getting worse. I can NOT reverse it. If anyone knows otherwise I would love to hear your story!

  • Gums naturally recede with age. One thing that can help slow it down is if you brush your teeth in a downward motion starting at the top of the gums. If you are brushing in circles or side to side, it can rub at the gums and increase receding. So start by brushing teeth clean and then in the upper right corner, brush gums down and make your way around the rest of your mouth.

  • Hi, My gums are also receding due to a periodontal desease. The dentists tell me that this desease cannot be healed. However, if you make a cleaning procedure once in 3 month, brush twice a day, and use floss, you can maintain your gums.

  • my hygenist was shocked by the lack of plaque on my teeth, my implant dentist told me to run a q-tip dipped in hydrogen peroxide over my gum line. let sit a couple of minutes then rinse with water. gets rid of the baddies!
