The answer you are looking for is highly circumstantial. If you are using programs that need large amounts of memory like Video editing or photoshop, then yes you will. 32bit Vista has a limitation of 4GB of RAM while the 64BIT version of Vista ULTIMATE is good up to 128GB+. But it's more than likely your northbridge memory controller or system BIOS may limit you to less than 16GB and in most cases 4GB or 8GB. It all depends on the motherboard. Who is the maker of your computer? Long story short, PROBABLY not simply because most current software is not written to take advantage of 64-bit.

And many of the software that is free will not work on 64-bit,alot of folks find their favorite software no longer works when they switch to 64-bit as its not compatible.
