A 341 is a hearing where any creditors have a right to object to the bankruptcy. It is also where the trustee will examine your schedules to determine whether they are done correctly and can make a preliminary determination and recommendation if a discharge is likely or warranted. They can ask questions of the debtor and any creditors present and demand further information or proof before they make their determination. They do so while you the debtor or creditor are under oath and it will be tapre recorded as well. Have your paperwork with you when you go and be prepared to answer questions about your finances and some of the schedules.
