from personal first hand knowledge, the one person I know who was in a plane crash, survived. So I would say either 100% or 0 %.

- I learned that he like to drink and fly, the crash was at the landing. I remember that he flew into some trees.

Very slim to no chance of survival. The FAA offers these five tips on surviving a plane crash:

1. When you board the plane, count the rows between your seat and the exit.
2. Read the safety card located in the seatback in front of you.
3. Properly brace for landing.
4. "Stop, go and stay low."
5. Get away from crash site as soon as possible.

I've read from professional flight books that survival is in the 60% range, I assume that figure comes from all different types of crafts. Obviously it depends on the size of the craft, the variables, the scenario, etc. If you are on a tiny plane, your chance of a crash are greatly increased because those planes are so small they don't have backup equipment. If something goes wrong, you're pretty screwed. Not to mention, they don't offer much cushioning or protection. Large commercial liners almost never crash, and it's because they have backup systems for nearly ever possible scenario that can go wrong. I lost a good friend in a plane crash, he was 19. He was flying in a six seater and was the 7th passenger. Obviously not a good idea. He and a friend of his died, the other five survived. They didn't fall from a huge height and the plane crashed into a building and cartwheeled, so given that, it's a miracle so many lived.
