It always used to be the mini-van. Now it's also an SUV.

- My nephew just got a new 2008 Jeep Liberty. Of course my other nephew is green with envy. So he's been busting his brothers chops about it being a Soccer Mom vehicle. Thats really why I was wondering. I think he's wrong!

Soccer moms used to drive mini-vans.
Today's soccer mom ideally drives a hybrid.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I haven't heard the expression - I've heard of football fans and football hooligans, but not soccer moms, perhaps it's a language issue because my spell checker has just told me that there is no such word as mom - oops, it's done it again.
