I have a friend who used a varathane on his floors. It was really heavy duty. The kind they use on school gymnasium floors. I'm sorry but I don't know the name of it. But if thousands of kids can't wreck it it sounds like great stuff.

will depend on what is already on the floors & how much they need sanded. Chestnut flooring looks so good when it ages so strip only little as poss
GO to Home Depot or Lowes, they can answer all your questions, they are very good with that

You're reading We have solid chestnut floors in our house and want to strip and treat them so they are durable (we have a dog so it's going to get a lot of wear) Anyone know what to treat them with please?
