  • Unless your tendonitis or your tendon tear is massive, they won't be able to see it on an x-ray. You probably need a CT scan to confirm, or best case, an MRI. But the reality of it is, if you can still walk on it without too much pain, its probably tendonitis - best treatment: strap it, rest it and ice it.
