I'm an equal opportunity cheese eater. It can be a slice of cheddar or pepper jack. It can be grated swiss in the meat patty itself or stuff a lump of blue cheese in their for a creamy, delicious surprise:-)

I LOVE a burger with bleu cheese or with a REAL SHARP cheddar! And while I'm answering, I might as well add: I LOVE my beef very, very, very rare. My steaks: I LOVE Pittsburgh rare or black and blue. Most definitely with cheese, it feels empty without it. Its like the icing on the cake, in a weird sort of way. And as for what type of cheese, well i like to be surprised.
