Help answer this question below.

Is getting a ticket for Failure to signal lane change and Unsafe lane change the same thing? In addition to the 2 tickets a third one was issued for Exit highway other than ramp. In New York would anyone know how many points it will be?

    The first ticket is for not signaling. The second is because the officer thought you changed lanes in a way that threatened the safety of another driver (and can be issued even if you use your signal). I don't know how you got the third because I don't know how you'd exit a highway other than using a ramp. You either made the officer angry or he was already having a cranky day.

    I don't know how many points that is, but all three tickets are moving violations, which will mean some damage to your record. You can contact your local DMV and they can tell you. Good luck.
