  • I would give it to a friend who likes to read.
  • as long as they were not signed by the authors i would most likely give the other one to someone else that likes to read or donate it to the library
  • If I couldn't find someone to take it either free on craigslist or freecycle.

  • Re-gift it or pass it on to a friend. If it were a paperbook, I could trade it on paperbackswap.com
  • If it was a really good book that I would suggest someone else read, I'd give it to a friend, not for an occasion, but just because. If it was a so-so book, then I would give it to the library or a thrift store.
  • At one point in my life I had 5 copies of Tolkien's "The Silmarillian" because people kept giving it to me... And I tried, but that book was just unreadable to me.... as it was to everyone I knew. The library got a gift that year.
  • This thing happened to me once. I had this Harry Potter book that my mother bought for me, and this other copy that was given to me by my grand mother. What I did was I gave the new copy to a friend who also is a fan of the story, and let him keep it as a symbol of our friendship.
