    It is a good thing. Eventually, this will lead to mainstream quantum computing, at which point there will be no such thing as encryption that cannot be broken in real time. This will drastically change what is done over the internet and will make the internet a safer place...eventually.

    I agree with PokkiTokki, it's evolution. There are those who believe that sophisticated software is written to force people to get better hardware. I believe that better hardware makes better software possible.

    It's not good nor bad. And it's not a push, it's evolution/progress. Has been happening since the first was invented, and comes as a reaction to people developing new ideas and needs how to use them.

    yeah i think its for the best. we'll find more cures for disease, and have break-throughs in transportation (or should i say teleportation haha)
