My two favourites are Trunk Bay in St. John's and Cane Garden in Tortola.

Two good choices in the VI, but there are others that are probably better else where, both in the VI and around the world. Both of the ones you selected get a little over run with tourists now and again. There are some stunning beaches that tourists don't get to that are as good or better, just because they are not over run. The sort of place where you could run down the beach naked and no one would care because there would be hardly any one to see.

i've been to several in different parts of the world were i had to boat or chopper in. there's something petty awesome about being the only (except to selected companion) person there.

such a hard question to answer, its so subjective isnt it, I love beaches, they are my fav places, I think Waikiki beach is one of the most beautiful, its so peaceful, ( even though so busy) but here in NZ, we have stunning beaches, literally hundreds of them, they ar all relatively quite and just stunning really........ google New Chums Bay, coromandel: or Catheredal Cove Coromandel, for starters.

I wish I had seen them all, so that I could tell you, but I haven't. I will assume it is a beach in Hawaii, but I've never been there.

I'm pretty partial to North Jetty Beach on the central Oregon coast. Probably because it is less than a 5 minute walk from my home.

Mmmmmm i love this question... it makes me reminisce back to the wonderful days i spent on Gili Trawangan. A secluded island off the coast of North West Lombok, Indonesia. Only accessible by a small boat. The island had no cars and ran off a generator. The beach had pure white sand, which ran into the clearest and most tranquil turquoise water i have ever seen. The reef surrounding the island was almost as good as the Great Barrier Reef - with the added bonus of being the ONLY one diving there. Mmmmmmmm. Lovely.

Ritidian Beach on the island of Guam... Too bad it's only open during daylight hours!
-
I think the beaches on the islands of the Seychelles are the most beautiful in warm weather and the beaches along British Columbia, Canada and Queen Charlotte Islands the most glorious in colder climes.
-
Juhu beach in bombay-India is the most beautiful beach on earth

Well, I haven't obviously been to all, but I must add this one to the list. Golden Gardens Beach/Park in Seattle, WA. When the weather is nice in the winter it is absolutely breathtaking to walk along this beach and look across the Puget Sound to the snowcapped Olympic Mountains.

any beach on Maui, Kaanapali is my favorite though!
-
there are so many, but a few of mine are ( google these) new chums bay, coromandel, catherderal cove coromandel waikiki

It is so hard to decide which is better since so many are beautiful for different reasons. Sunsets, sand, or shoreline...it may be hard to find just one beach that meets these criteria. I'd vote for any beach I happen to be one at the time but that is not what you asked for so I'll say: Ft. DeSoto Beach in Tampa, Florida for all the above.

Well my Internet is a little too slow to post any of the pics I took but look up Anse Lazio its on Praslin Seychelles 1000miles east of the African mainland. Voted best beach in the world a time or two the water is a beautiful bright blue, the huge granite formations look out of this world, the sand is soft, the beach is never crowded and I dont believe it ever gets seaweed as so many beaches do. Fantastic! I heard White sands in Boracay PI is quite nice too, will be able to better report after next months visit. -s
