Can a RE agent sue you for buying a condo unit from another builder you found yourself when you had worked with him in house hunting in the past few months on other properties?

No. Unless you signed a contract with that RE stating that you would buy exclusively from him. That would be highly unusual. He is just mad that he didn't get a commission from you.
