My son said I was a "Diva".. I looked up the word.."distinguished female singer"..that's what it means..nothing negative. How many times do you discover that you've used or thought of a word whose meaning was totally different than what you thought?

• I have never been high maintenance..knowing my son, he meant only good, kind, loving things..perhaps there are other meanings..perhaps there are colloquial(sp?) differences depending upon where you live, your lifestyle and with whom you hang out..he would never, ever, in a million years, say anything that would be hurtful! • Basically...Azraff is right.. Diva has evolved beyond the defininiton you found Rosie.. it basically means High maintenence woman and can also mean Strong willed or powerful woman. Diva also touches on the general attitude of a woman as well.. usually attactive powerful women get tagged as divas.

• Join the club, honey...take a number..I long ago realized I am totally "addicted" to AB..when I'm home the computer is on all day and as I can I spend a few minutes here, a few minutes there.. Jim is happy that I have found something I love so much..he loves to play tennis and golf..I love to be at home cooking..so now I have another thing I can do at home and I am a happy gal! :) ((hugs))

• About being a recluse..I think I have agoraphobic tendencies and have always preferred being at home since I can remember..so being on AB is a great way to interact with people while in a "safe" environment! You don't have to inhale cigarette smoke, or listen to raucous laughter coming from a table of drunks..it's very nice, comfy and cozy..you interact when you wish, you go away when you wish..perfect setup I think! :)

• Thanks for your answer, Sara..I'm thinking my son meant that as "talker", which is quite a nice compliment coming from my kid! As for singer, he has heard me sing and he isn't a liar so he meant it as analogous but not identical rather than word-for-word! :)
