They can yes, it really depends on their situation. If it is threating they will, and other wise it might be hot and they might take a swim. They do not do it on a day-to-day basis though. There are certain species of sea cows on Islands you can see swimming and they swim reguarly. I hope this helps!

Yup. there is a breed of cow in Ireland, although it is now small, that was named from the celtic word for swimming. They are the ancestor of the more commonly known highland cow. Also, there is a breed in Africa called the Kuri, that actually spends as much time as possible in water.This is because their skin has very little resistance to the sun, so they must move from watering hole to watering hole.

All animals can swim. In forest fires, people and wild animals have been swimming in a river or lake near each other and no harm done.. the fire is the enemy.
