What's the best way to recover from direct or indirect contact with bear mace? Will holding your breath keep it out of your lungs?

    Flushing with lots of clean water helps best unless you can endure the time it takes to degrade naturally.

    Holding your breath will not help if chemical residue is on your clothes or skin.
