  • Dog.....Cats are cool to though
  • Definitly both
  • Dogs reign!........Cats run! do
  • It is said that "Dogs Drool and Cats Rule!" That's okay though, I can take a little drool, cause most dogs are worth it! There's about 75 million cats owned in the USA, compared to about 50 million dogs. Sadly, there are at least that many or more who are homeless, without regular meals or a warm bed to sleep in. I grew up as a "dog person" and know they make the best companions, mostly because they can go and do things with you, for a bonding experience. While cats are generally not up for the ride. I only have cats in my life now, and they are much more intuitive than I ever believed possible. That's not to say they are smarter, or as able as dogs, it's just different. Cats make a connection on a deeper level, it's quiet and emotional. Pleasantly calming.
  • I have to many animals to list, i can not just pick one that is better than the other, he in my home cats, adog, guinea pigs birds fish, OMG I love them all (O:
  • cats because you don't need to be there 24/7 they take care of themselves.and they like having time to them selves,
  • My best friend is a cat...she's been the best companion ever. I have to vote cat; however, that doesn't imply that I don't also love dogs. I just love animals, period.
  • Monkeys.
  • Well, I hate cats, and I hate dogs, so I geuss Crows.
  • Cat's all the way. I've found very few dogs able to control themselves from jumping and barking all over the place. Cats, well they scratch alot...but whatever, I'll pick the quiet and devious predatory skills of a feline.
  • the dog/cat beats em all!
  • Simple answer: dog.
  • cats cats are independant - you'll never get 8 cats to pull a sled through the snow they can go to the toilet on their own they rid your home of mice and flies they smell nicer than dogs they don't stick their noses up your ass they don't need walking at 6am in the rain they don't bark they don't eat their own poo ....and most importantly.....cats don't kill small children
  • I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals. -Sir Winston Churchill (I know this doesn't answer your question but I think its funny!)
  • I have both and love them both equally. But cats are far easier to take care of. My dogs just wanna play. So when I am in a playful mood My Dogs are the best. But when I want to relax my cat is the best. My cat loves to sit in front of the fire and chill with me My favorite pastime.
  • i like dogs way better because i think they are better to have than cats because a dog will protect you and will always be there for you if you treat them rite. i love my dog he is a member of the family
  • they are both lovable and adorable in there own way, so i like them both.
  • They both have their good and bad points, but in the end, some people (usually due to their personalities) are simply more drawn to cats or to dogs as the type of pet they prefer.
  • A dog, they are more loyal, and can save your life at times to! Cats can be unpredicatable at times. When the dog scratches at the door, we open it and she gladly comes in. When the cat scratches on the door, she sits there and stares at you, until she is good and ready to come in. It is hard to teach a cat tricks, though our cat Eddie, knows how to open the door.
  • Dogs cuz they r loyal and lovable ,33 evol ni
  • Definitley dogs.I hate cats(and yes, I have owned a few in my lifetime to know why I hate them).Dogs are loyal, caring and compassionate. They're always there when u need them, kinda like a person. They will do anything to get your love and affection. They truley are mans best friend.I dont know what I would do without my Mickey Roonie Rourke! I love him!
  • dogs, they will protect you and your family when in need, and make great pets. My friend has a yorkshire terrier and he can protect his family.
  • I have had the pleasure of living with 4 dogs and 4 cats (over the years, not all at once!!!) The cats I parent now fetch like dogs, play constantly, crave attention, wait by the door for my husband and I to return, sleep with us every night and genuinely love us. The dogs I had demonstrated great loyalty and love also. Cat downfall - litterbox Dog downfall - licking face Everything else is an upside. Enjoy your pet! I should also add, ferrets are hilarious.
  • It depends on your personality type. Are you a dog person? Or are you a cat person? I used to be a cat person: independent, aloof, private. I found that there came a time in my life that I needed to change. I needed "dog energy." Dogs are loving, loyal, THERE. I adopted a dog after 11 years of living with my two cats. They are slowly coming to terms with the decision I made! Anyway, I obviously didn't make the decision to include a dog in my life to reap the rewards of sapping its seeming carefree and ever energetic ways. But, I think there WAS a need for this in my life, and I have greatly benefited from his addition. Needless to say, these animal companions are who they are and we, their human companions, are only who we are. We only benefit from being around them. So who cares which they are? It's like a soon-to-be parent. They don't REALLY care if it's a boy or a girl; they just count the fingers and toes and hope everything is healthy! I don't care if my cat comes to me for affection or my dog bounds up on my lap while watching the Daily Show. I just want a furry, wagging tail in my life!
  • well i like cats but i have a dog a dog u can keep outside at times if needed and they will stay in there dog house cats will sit in the rain until u let them in cats dont bark dogs can protect u and ur family if a dog scratches u its not a big deal if ur skirt or a string moves ur cats on it its cute at times but not when they rip ur skirt or pierce ur skin with there thin claws if u have a dog u can have fish, birds, hamsters if u have a cat u have to be on the look out so ur cat dosnt get to them ur dog can play fetch u dont have to give ur cat a walk some dogs are safer with kids than cats basicly just look at what fits ur needs do u have kids small pets can the dog/or cat be in everynight ETC...
  • I was a deprived child. When I was really small my dad brought home two German Shepard puppies named Suzy and Kelly. They pooped behind the washing machine and my mother said "Out!". Away they went and all things furry were banned from the house. I had an aquarium and that had to suffice. When I would visit someone with a furry four legged one, I was thrilled. When I met my husband-to-be, he had a 17 year old Siamese cat who hated me. I think she resented me for taking away "her person". Very soon after we got engaged, Rich had to put the cat to sleep. I was happy because she and I didn't click and I was a mean person who didn't understand "cat love". One year after being married, I found a stray cat while looking for a wayward hubcap. I picked him up and said "Look, mine!". My husband took the kitten out of my hands and put it back into the bushes that it came out of. I could not believe my eyes, this kind of behavior coming from a "cat lover". So, that little monster entered our lives on June 13, 1987 and the rest is history. I am a cat person. Do I think cats are "better" than dogs. Nope, I just don't have the schedule or lifestyle for a dog. Like I said in another post, two of the cutest things in the world is 1) a baby 2) a puppy Think they both are great when they belong to other folks. P.S. My mother took in a stray cat 15 years ago, just took in a second stray cat last year and feeds about 6 stray cats on her property. They are her GRANDCHILDREN!
  • I'm going to have to say dog I have had cats and dogs and the dogs are always better. Cats are lazy most of the time, they claw your furniture up and their litter box stinks and I hate changing one. Some cats also meow constantly and that's annoying to me. Dogs can be a pain to though just depends on the person and what they prefer.
  • I've had dogs that were snobby and cats that acted just like dogs including a co-dependent personality, fetching etc. I've owned both dogs and cats. My siamese cat (now passed on :(, couldn't have been more like a dog if it had tried. Loving, needy, vocal, fetched and very possessive of me; he would guard. (Didn't know he was a cat). My Blue Point Himalayan actually fetches and retrieves a big ball and is a real snuggler. The benefit to cats is that they walk themselves and use a litter pan. Sure I still have to stoop to pick up poop but I'm not in the back yard stepping in dog-patties and having to wash my shoes. I've owned dogs. Adore them actually. My doberman (the first one) was independent by nature and aloof. My Chesapeake Bay Retreiver was amazingly affectionate, smiled when we came home and wagged his tail so much that it left bruises on your leg and cleared off tables. (I got smart and put a duster on it one day. My furniture was spotles lol.) I think with either dogs or cats, which would be better depends on our lifestyles and what the human individual prefers in their personality and to remember that each animal irregardless of breed comes with it's own individual traits.
  • Although I'm a cat guy, I would say u can't compare a dog to a cat. They both have distinct features. some annoying and some usefull. A cat may never come when u call it, or may seem more selfish than a dog. A dog always listens to you when u call it. is loyal, can also protect u from theifs etc. While a cat is a natural hunter and would get rid of mice and flies. u don't have to teach a cat to 'house break' it would a either use a liter or find a separate spot for toilet. It always cleans it self so u don't need to wash it. Cats even don't bother u at night unlike dogs who keep barking at night. and there are several good/bad things about them.
  • I love both and I'm allergic to both. Today I lean toward the dog just because I encountered two cute black labrador puppies on my morning rounds. Why? lets say I'm a sucker for cute things.
  • dog they are more loving.
  • Neither one is "better". They are both living creatures and have the same worth. However, I prefer to have a cat as a pet. I have no dislike for dogs and in fact like them very much, at other people's houses. It's just that my lifestyle and living situation is better suited to having a cat, and also I enjoy the fact that cats are a bit more independent. Dogs are cool, too, but in a different way.
  • Dogs, they love and care for you, well worth taking out and caring for. cats you feed and they take themselfs off. i have four dogs while my aunt has 2 cats, i HUGHLY perfer dogs
  • I have a cat and i dog and i like both just the same :>
  • between the two? dogs b/c they are loyal and they are always excited to see you. cats are stuck up. i think in general i might like pigs the most b/c dogs look up to you, cats look down on you, but pigs see you as equal
  • I like dogs more, cats don't guard your house.
  • I love them both :) I have 3 cats and 5 dogs and I love them all equally :) I think each has their own qwerky nature :)
  • I am a cat person, I just have a better affinity with cats (dogs are cool too).
  • My dog, with my cat.
  • Neither..I love my birds and I'd choose them over a cat or dog any day!
  • I really do not like cats. I love dogs. Not the little yip yip ones though.
  • Dogs are man's best friend! cats, in my opinion, are evil...especially when they look at you with those eyes.
  • DOG - cats only want to be fed by you & that's it. Dogs however love company & pleasing their owners, they're very loyal as well.
  • i would have to say dogs When you come home from work, your dog will be happy A dog knows when you're sad. And he'll try to comfort you. Dogs go outside, cats prefer the carpet i also say dogs because i have 2 and i love em both to bits LOL they can do good tricks too and make you do lots of exercise when you take them for walks
  • I like chickens, but cats are better because the dogs, you would have to wash them, and cats: they wash themselves, they dont eat as much, you could carry them, they have smaller bites, they dont bark, and you could let them out on the nieghborhood and they would come back! as for chickens, my friend has one, and they leave small poop, and its funny how they cluck and move around, and you just feed them grain
  • I prefer cats, personally, but I can definitely see why some people would prefer dogs. My cat is very affectionate, but she's not needy. She's quiet, clean, and sophisticated. I don't have to stop her from eating everything in sight, and I don't have to clean up her drool. Also, she doesn't scare guests when they come to my house. She's very peaceful, and she'll sit on my lap and purr for hours while I watch a movie or read a book. I don't think most dogs would have the patience for that. The main reason I prefer cats is that I find them much more manageable than dogs. They require less maintenance and they don't run everywhere destroying things. (I'm not saying all dogs do that; I just think that generally cats are a bit less destructive than dogs.)
  • Cat. They require less care in some ways and they are more independent. I wouldn't mind having both though. I had both when I was young and it worked out ok, except when my cat would beat up my two Labs for licking him too much.
  • i like both, but right now i have a cat. she is very independant.(only a rear old) she is at the door when i come home from work. it is like she has super hearing.
  • You don't say how old you are, but there are a several points here. The first is that an instructor should never use his or her position to gain a sexual or pecuniary advantage. The second is that a person in authority often has an allure that is not due to hid or her personality, but their authority. The third is flirting is often misread intention. That is, the flirter is really only being kind. What to do about the feelings? We all go through life being alternately disappointed and encouraged. Try going without any expectations of a future together, if with a bit more life experience you get together, it will be much better. Unfortunately you have to go through this on your own, but talking to your mother can help.
  • Go to some dances with your girlfriends and meet some guys your own age. You didn't say how old you were. If you're in college, find out what the policy is on your campus. But if you're in high school, forget him. What you are is in lust, you'll be in lust many, many times in your life (probably), and there will be times you just can't act on it. Part of being mature enough to be in an intimate relationship, is having the maturity to be discriminate. If you are in high school, believe me, this guy spent a lot of time in his own studies, learning about how and why it's harmful to kids for their teacher to mess with them sexually. Even if you don't understand, he does. If he were to cross that line, it would only be for his own gratification, and not because the two of you are star-crossed. What if a guy your own age (if you are in high school), were to flirt with an 11 year old who had her period and breasts. That 11 yr. old would be flattered and think she was special, that a high school guy was interested in her. But you and all your friends would know it would be messed up if he actually dated her, and really messed up if he slept with her. It's the same with the teacher. He shouldn't be flirting with you (if you're in high school), he's a loser, and if his peers knew they'd be disgusted. Show you have some class, he's a creep, don't flirt with a creep. It's ok to enjoy a fantasy if you really have a grip on reality, but if you're in high school, I fear you don't see the big picture. Meet a young man closer to your own age, who doesn't have to be ashamed of being with you because he knows it's wrong.

  • Having had both I think dogs, just
  • Dogs all the way!
  • both, but if i had to choose between them which species had to die out, i let the cats live. (not that i dont love my dog by the way)
  • Dog. Actually, cat. i don't know....ummm...dog. :)

  • http://www.googlefight.com/index.php?lang=en_GB&word1=dog&word2=cat :{
  • Dogs. Got 3 of 'em.
  • Dogs all the way. Cats are sneaky and they crap in the house. Dogs give you unconditional love, cats have attitude, and males will piss on your clothes claiming you as 'theirs'. Dogs come when you call their name, they can fetch a ball, sit, stay, roll over, and speak. I've never seen a cat do any of these things.
  • dogs because they don't sit on your head when you're sleeping...and they get out of your way when they're in your way
  • I read a saying once that goes as follows: Dog's have masters, Cats have staff
  • Dogs, I adore German Shepherds they have been some of my best friends over the years
  • dogs. i have a little lap dog sitting right next to me now. shes soo attached to me, and you just cant get that in a cat.
  • dogs because ive had them since i was little and you can take them on walks and get them to do tricks etc. my nan had a cat but it used to be a vicious little thing always scratching people.
  • Dogs, a man's best friend. We have 4 dogs, plus 2 cats.
  • love dogs, bbq catfishs.
  • Dogs. They never give up to trust. That was my emotional answer. And now my raw rational social-darwinism answer. :) Dogs are herd animals in contradistinction to cats so they are smarter. Herds of animals have their pecking order and if an individual wants to get higher in this hierarchy it must fight not only with body, but with mind too.
  • I am a total cat person! Mostly as I grew up with pet cats. Here's a pic of my cat "Baby Kitty" Which apparently my jpeg doesn't seem to want to add... :(
  • Since I'm allergic to cats, I will have to say dogs. I used to want to get a dog, but I've realized that my life would revolve around the dog. Feeding it, playing with it, taking it for walks, making sure someone can take care of it when I go away. It seems like a lot of work.
  • I'm allergic to both. As to my preference, I think cats and dogs prefer me more than I prefer them.
  • Dogs. They are more active and they are fun to play with.
  • Cats. They're just so much more pleasant. I can't really say truthfully that I have a reason for my preference, I geuss I'm just a cat person.
  • Dogs. Cats generally don't like me. Nor me them.
  • i love them both but communicate better with dogs
  • I like dogs more, but I also like cats.
  • I love dogs but I dont like cats that much beacuse i am allergic to them.
  • I prefer dogs over cats, because every cat I have ever come across has had a bitter hatred towards me. I can just sense it... And I feel like dogs can empathize with you more (this sounds so stupid, I know it does, but it's just my way of thinking)

  • Dogs. Cats have brought some kind of curse upon me.
  • I'm sorry. I can't choose, I love them both.
  • I prefer both. I have a dog and 2 cats.
  • yes!!! i have 4 of them precious beautiful creatures!
