yes this happened to me often as a kid and i blame this on my obesity but i was able to overcome it and lose 129 pounds in 7 months on the atkins diet.

I didn't get sick to my stomach, but a few times I ate birthday cake as a kid, I broke out in hives, so my mom wouldn't let me have any after this. Can you imaging a kid at a party and not being able to eat the cake? I've had "party" cakes since and haven't had any adverse reactions, so maybe they've changed the ingredients in the past decades.
