  • well, try the lutherans or methodists next time
  • It dosen't matter where you were married. You made the vows and you should follow them. If you remarry while your former spouse is alive the Bible says your committing adultery.
  • First of all the divorce would have to have been for a scriptural reason. Adultery, abandonment by an unsaved spouse, and that's about it. The prospective newlyweds would have to both be saved. They would definately have to go through premarital counseling, and that would not guarantee a pastor would marry them. The aim is to not enable someone to commit adultery again, and that has to be judged on an individual basis by the pastor. A lot of pastors would refuse to do the wedding altogether for the reason the there is already a case of infidelity, you would have to absolutely convince him that you did not instigate it. You may just be referred to a justice of the peace.
  • Unfortunately, by today's standards, if one wants to remarry, there is nothing stopping them. Scripture gives us very few reasons for a valid divorce. It tells us if we get divorced and it isn't one of those reasons, to be with another man or woman (depending on your sex of course) is adultery.
