I got the master/slave jumper settings from Samsung's website and applied to a good Samsung SV0602H HDD (30GB). Added a WDC HDD as slave drive. Now I get a "Boot Disk Failure" when trying to boot. BIOS shows no drives. WinXP Pro. What now?

You mentioned that you got the jumper settings from Samsung's website. Did you use these same jumper options on the WDC drive as well? If you did, this is likely your problem. Many drive manufacturers jumper their drives differently.

I have a Samsung SV0602H HDD, it is a 60gb. You have to have the jumpers correct or you only get half the drive. I've attached the page you need with the correct settings, but here is the link if the picture does not show: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200310/20031006144428687_InstallGuide_ENGLISH.pdf Warning! You MAY have to reinstall WinDUHs if you do resize the drive. Good Luck! Enjoy your added (unexpected 30gb's)
