I think it's ok.

I hope so, because I am Christian and also beleive in the supernatural.

Talk to more than one of your religious advisors (priests, nuns, pastors, etc.) and get their perspective. I'm not qualified to answer, but I could give an opinion.

I am not Christian myself, but I can't say I have heard that Christian people should not believe in the paranormal life. When I read this something sprung to mind. It made me think of exorcism. When it is thought that an evil presence is in an area/ house a priest can come out and bless the house, using holy water and reading extracts from the bible. So then this made me think, well if Christianty is used as a solution for riding of bad spirits, then it must be ok for Christian people to believe in things like that. Because if Christian people were not allowed to think spirits were real, preists and people wouldn't be able to cure it.. because they shouldn't have believed in it. I hope this answer wasn't too confusing. I hope this has helped as well :)

I believe that there are things that we can't explain, and it is natural to be curious about them. I've had tons of experiences with the unknown, and I'm a Christian, as well. I don't think it's a question of believing in it or not, it all depends on what you do with that information. I used to be involved in the occult so I have no doubts in regards to the existence of such things.

Depending on what school of theology you are into Christians are actually encouraged to be aware of the "paranormal". Read Ephesians 6:12 and tell me what you can conclude from it.
-
I think their is nothing wrong with it.i fully acknowledge the existence of ghosts and the unexplained. As christians we already believe in possession and in possession, spirits of people can take over someone so I'd say we do believe in them as a whole community.Otherwise we'd all be hipocrites:D

thanks for your answers! see, i've been raised to believe that these things are evil my entire life. however, i've always been able to feel things. spirits or whatever. or just when something isn't right. if something bad is going to happen. when i was a young teen and discovered this, my parents even had people in the church to pray for me because they believed i had the spirit of fear in me. i know there are psychics that pray and believe in god. god gives people the gift of discernment and prophecy, so what's the difference?

There's a great deal of paranormal activity in the Bible as is, so I'm sure that it's ok. As long as you don't worship the spirits, sacrifice to them, or anything like that ; ) However, if you are really concerned about it, speak with your / a local pastor / priest / etc

isn;t god a spirit/ghost.If so then all christians believe in ghosts. I mean hes dead and people have visions and visits from him.Am I wrong

I know a lot of Christians that believe in the paranormal. Actually, I'd expect them to believe it before anyone else. To prove it, here's the website of a very, very, very Christian woman who documents her experiences with paranormal activity. http://www.true-ghost-stories.com/Directory.html

Its part of being a good christian! The bible quote several instances of Jesus dealing with spirits which were infact demons. If you have a bible look up Matthew 8:16 and Mark 5:6-13. The accounts talk about demons possesing people but as I said these were spirit creatures who worship the devil. Ghosts are the same. They are spirits that manifest themselves in different ways, some bad some appearing to be good (see 2 Corinthians 11:14 15). When people try to contact the dead they speak with demons. This practice is forbidden in the bible (Deuteronomy 18:10 11). The bible also says that the dead are infact in a state like that of sleep (Psalms 146:4). Witches are magic practicers and this also is a practice the bible forbids (leviticus 19:26). The paranormal does exist this is biblically proven. The danger is if christians view it as a good force. It is demonic in origin and therefore not pleasing in God's eyes.

Witches are very real. So are spirits. And they are mentioned in the bible numerous times. So yes, it's okay.
-
Christianity is Biblically based. The proof of the paranormal exists in the Bible. The spirtuallity of GOD and Christ is good paranormal. The Bible also states to stay away from witchcraft, which means don't partake of it, practice it, or be a part of it...now why do you supposed that is? Answer: It is real and a danger to you.

I found some of the answers interesting. My understanding of the phrase to "believe in" something is to believe the value in that being, to have faith in it, to align with it. I too am a Christian. I believe in God. I believe that ghosts and spirits exist, but I certainly do not believe in them. If I did I would start believe in some of their values. Far too dangerous. Hope this helps.
