I am going to buy an Xbox 360. What are the different types of Xbox 360, and which one is the best?

Get the 360 with the hard drive and controller. You can get the 360 elite, but unless you a running a 1080 resolution tv it is just more money for the same. My personal advice is buy from GameSpot or EB Games you can buy the "carry back" warranty so if there are any problems within a year you walk it through the door and walk out with a replacement, no questions asked. Awesome system.
