You're reading Moslems gave up on science centrys ago and have not had a significant scientific advance in the last 1000 plus years. Is the religious right going the same way by placing their belief in the bible as trueth above scientific inquiry?

Thanks, but I had read about that Georgia thing to and it didn't amount to anything. They are finding fossels all the time and fitting them into proper place is always a topic of discussion and disagreement. This is proper in science to have wide disagreements sometimes. I don't think much is hidden from the general public because most scientists would like to make that big discovery that opens a new line of discovery and maybe get a nobel prize. That same spitit makes them very critical of other discoveries. Disention is healthy in science.

oh but that did amount to a lot...it took back the existence of h sapiens tens of thousands of years. that does make a difference, as does a discovery in australia of skulls that resemble h erectus, but who were living alongside modern Aborigines c 10 000 years ago. This throws the evolutionary order of humans into chaos if h erectus was, in fact, still thriving in Australia and interbreeding with modern h sapiens.

I was thinking about something else when I made that comment about the Georgia discovery, sorry.
But as you imply there is ongoing discussions about the fossil line and sometimes ideas have to be modified if the evidence doesn't support it. But the evidence is the important thing and ongoing discussion to intrepet it correctly.
