  • I usually tell them. I think it's a polite thing to do. There is no sense in having a misunderstanding when I can nip it in the bud.
  • People should know that I rarely rate as it is. I'm already an absent-minded professor, even though I'm still in college! At this rate, by the time I complete a Ph.D. I won't remember to get dressed before I leave my house.
  • Sometimes. But to those who are on my friends' list I no longer say that, I think it's already understood that I've run out of points for them.
  • Yes, I always tell them when I'm on the "points bench" with them. Don't want them to think I'm a poopy pants or anything;)
  • Yes. I don't want them to think I forgot them.
  • I always tell them...because I always remember to rate. I'd hate to think someone thought I didn't like their question or answer :)
  • I didn't know you could run out of points! What's the limit??
  • I have heard about running out of points, but so far I have not had that sort of problem. If I did, I would let them know that I would have given them points if I had more to give to let them know that I believe they were given points for their answer.
  • Yes and I always come back and rate them up , to the highest I can give - Unless offensive -- + 5
  • Yes, I always try to tell them so I don't look like I'm stingy :)
  • I have run out of points for you a couple of times, (as well as for others). It felt awkward to say it, so I never did. For me, telling them is like showing up at a potluck dinner and being the only one that didn't bring a dessert.
  • It's only happened to me once so far, but I made sure to tell the person so they wouldn't think I was a jerk.
  • I'm pretty sure I do tell people I'm out of points for them 100% of the time if I'm not able to rate their answers. Questions are another story, though.
  • Yes, I do. I'm kind of new here and would rather make friends, than enemies. What I haven't been able to find is how to tell when the points are replenished, so that I don't wind up in the penalty box!
  • Yes I do tell them I hate for them to think I have not bothered, or do not appreciate the question or answer.
  • Yes... I usually do tell them.
