You don't say whether there are children involved. If not, try to move on as quickly as possible. As you move, fight fire with fire I say. Since he was cheating on you I'd say you should just go crazy and slap him around as much as you can. Don't let him treat you with anything less than complete respect. Demand it. Since his cheating on you in the first place tells you he had no respect for you then and current behavior reinforces that, it's time for some legal whoop-ass with a smile from you. Let him know that the one who cheats gives up all rights and claims to being "in charge".

yes yes yes, they both try to manipulate the situation to make it seem like its somebody elses fault, anybody's excpet their own. This usually entails fabricating details to make it seem as though they were helplessly driven to do this. BOO HOO. Truth is, this act is a signifigant indicator of very poor personalty traits in the cheater, it says many unpleasant things about them. So, they try to make themselves the victim in order to regain lost honor, and they must make the other person look bad in order to acheive this.
