    Actually the record is 3 by Guy Hecker for the Louisville Colonels in the AA League on August 15, 1886 and Tom McCreery for the Louisville Colonels in the NL on July 12, 1897.

    Here's a list of all the players that hit at least 2 inside the park home runs in a game in either in NL or AL:
