Absolutely!!! And they can easily be spread to toehrs as well. Everybody knows to wear a condom, but most people don't realize that condoms only protect a certain area. Herpes travels to the nerve endings from the spinal cord, but they don't always travel the same path. Consider how tightly packed nerves are on the surface of the skin. Herpes can and does show up in adjacent areas where they was no previous exposure. So much for condoms! Please be careful sharing spoons, straws and forks as well. It just isn't worth it.
