  • Your grandfather's brother's daughter would be your second cousin.
  • Your grandfather's brother would be your great-uncle. So I guess you'd be some kind of cousins, maybe 2nd? Probably OK to have sex?
  • I hope I follow my numbers correctly to get the right answer. Two assumptions you need: you share 1/2 of your genes with each parent, and you share 1/2 of your genes with any given sibling. Your grandfather's brother's daughter gets 1/2 of her genes from your grandfather's brother... your grandfather's brother shares 1/2 of his genes with your grandfather... so the grandfather's brother's daughter shares 1/4 of her genes with your grandfather. You share 1/2 of your genes with a parent, your parent shares 1/2 with their father, so you share 1/4 of your genes with your grandfather. Out of the 1/4 you get from grandadddy, 1/4 is shared with the brother's daughter... so you share 1/16 of your genes with your grandfather's brother's daughter. If I am right, you are related by a factor of 1/16. I should have used abbreviations or something...
  • She would be your second cousin. She would be a first cousin to your mother or father (whichever side of the family it is), so she would be your second cousin.
  • YOur second cousin, genetically ok but might get some odd looks from the fam..
