Not yet, because, even though Fidel has stepped down as president, the country still have a repressive, totalitarian, communist government. Until that changes, the embargo should stay.

Building walls is not the way to make friends and influence people. Lifting the U.S. trade embargo would improve the life of the every Cuban family. It would also re-open communication channels between Cuba and the United States. If there is anything worth teaching and anything worth learning, this is the way to do it.

Hey, why the hell do that? They've starved and oppressed 12 million people for close to 50 years, why stop now? Based on the amazing results, thus far, it's probably only a matter of another 50 years or so before there is change...and if it there isn't, who gives a rat's ass, it's not as if they're human beings that count or anything like that, right?

It should have been lifted many years ago.If the US is so concerned about human rights why is there not an embargo against China,Burma and other countries that are far worse of when it comes to human rights.
