I knew someone who his ex hacked his account and changed his passwords/secret question then started sending his private emails to his new girlfriend. Long story short... since it is a free email account there is no support group to help you recover.

Sorry pal, there is no way you are getting your password back. You may be able to call microsoft and convince the operator that you own the account, but even so I don't believe they are allowed to view stored passwords of users. You may be able to convince them to reset your password to a default, they would then send that password to the email address with which you registered the account.

Are you trying to hack someone or is that actually your account, and how are we supposed to know for sure if you're telling the truth?

Don't sing on MSN messenger - it annoys the other members... ok just kidding - you made a typo :) When you have to give an answer to a secret question, for example: Mothers Maiden Name, or your First School, don't you remember what answer you gave? If you just put a joke answer, then you shot yourself in the foot. Also, you should only use passwords that make sense to you. I use 3 levels of passwords, actually 3 passwords for different types of accounts. The highest is for administration, and financial accounts etc. The second is for things like main email accounts and important web sites that I can trust. The third and lowest level is for sites I register at that I am not sure I can trust, so I use a password that if it gets stolen somehow will not give access to my private and financial information. I know all of these three passwords. The only problem I have occasionally, in your situation, is remembering which one I used for a specific account. But I have 3 choices...

Try sending an email to MSN's customer service. They might be able to provide some alternate ways for you to verify that the account is yours. If not, you can always just open a new account. I know it's a pain to tell everyone your new address, but you may have no choice. And if you do, make sure you write down your secret question and answer and store it somewhere safe.
