  • Depends on the program you are typing in.. check the help files. If you are talking about the browser address window, you go to Control panel, internet options, and under general properties, you can clear the history of your browser (the sites you have visited).
  • Yes basically as the person said if your using microsoft explorer then you go to tools then internet options, clear history and also I suggest that you delete the cookies since these are what is used to track your computer and used to try to "hijack" it. If your using mozilla firefox its basically the same, tools, options, privacy, history, clear browser history and to delete cookies, stay in the same privacy click cookies and delete cookies
  • To stop Internet Explorer from using AutoComplete(the drop-down box)- click start, click control panel, double-click internet options, click the advanced tab in the top right hand corner, scroll down until you see "Use inline AutoComplete", click the check mark next to "Use inline AutoComplete". Click apply, click ok, click the x of that page.
  • If using Internet explorer: 1. from Control panel go to Internet Options 2. Go to the "Content" tab 3. Under Personal Information section, press "AutoComplete" button 4. Check "Web addresses" and "Forms" checkboxes and press "Clear Forms" Next time when you start typing in a textbox-in google search for example-it wont be autocompleted:)
