From my experience in life, it means... you don't screw around with people on your job because your job is your livelihood and way to make a living. Having a tryst at work would be like dirtying up something sacred. Maybe I am wrong.. who knows.

It means don't ruin a good thing. I assume it refers to the phenomena in which wild animals usually do their business in one place and eat in another. This principle is how we crate train dogs-- you feed them in their crate so they learn that it is their food/resting place, not their place to do their business.

Means same as Don't sh*t in your own nest! My mom used to say this all the time. It took me a long time to get it!

dunno where it came from but it refers to someone who destroys something that they have gain from. for example if my parents were paying my rent but emotionally cut them off and was a lil bitch to them then u could say about me... "why does she shit where she eats"

I think there might actually be a biblical rule about having to be a certain distance from camp or your fields to poo, and a depth to bury and stuff perhaps... But yeah. Don't foul up a place you need to be.
-
I would think it would come from the time of the plagues. In reality it is the same as don't bite the hand that feeds you. Maybe it means wash your hands after you use the bathroom.
-
The same place as, "Wish in one hand and poop in the other, and see which hand fills up fastest".
-
Perhaps Ween can explain it to you :)

I always thought it came from bears. Ya, know. Bears never shit in their dens cause they actually know that its disgusting. It took human beings what, 10,000yrs to figure that one out? I wonder sometimes how we got this far.
