  • oohh .. don t want to go through this again! lol I had pocket kings (KS,KH) FLOP - 4S, KD, 7C, (and I was like wwuuhhuuu! Trips!!) My friend placed a fairly small bet, and I raised, then he called. The turn was - 2H (so, till this point I had the nuts. My opponent placed a bet, and I did a VERY high raise. he called. The river - 4 H So, I got a full house, BUT i didnt have the nuts. He checked. I prayed that he didnt have quads and went all in. He calls .. and guess what? tadaaa pocket fours! I should av went all in after the flop huh .. Another interesting thing is that I always lose with pocket kings!! unlucky me!
  • I had AA someone else had KK and a third person had AK. Everyone bet all in. The flop was junk the turn was junk and the riv came a K. A one outer in a 100k tourney. I was pissed.
  • I don't remember any of my bad beats; it's not productive to dwell on them and it doesn't improve your game. If you got your money in good and caught the thin end of the statistical wedge, then you played a nice hand and should do the same all over again if the situation arises again. Worrying about bad beats leads to results-oriented play, which is the bane of many many poor-to-average poker players. If you are a 90% favorite to win the hand, then you will lose it 1 time in every 10. It's an inescapable reality and people need to learn to see the times this portion of reality comes to pass as being nothing out of the ordinary, because it is just odds being odds.
