What happens with these offers is you are required to complete OTHER offers, or subscribe to other services. These are the advertisers that they generate the revenue required to give you a 'free' gift.
Then if you don't cancel your subscriptions in time you are locked into a pay cycle and will have to call to cancel them, many times this happens after you have accrued charges on your account.
So, possibly much cheaper than buying a 360, you will still need to have your credit card hany.
My Xbox live subscription expires in a few weeks.
