Help answer this question below.

Once my soul came out of my body while I was sleeping and it seemed very real. When I woke up I couldn't move, talk, see or breathe and it felt like I was going back into my body. Why does this happen? Did I die for a minute?

    It is most likely astral catalepsy. When we are asleep sometimes our "astral" self or spirt will travel. Some people are more aware of this and will experiance an OBE. When you realize that it's happening you might freak a little. Then your mind catches on and you snap awake, right out of REM sleep. The sudden shift in conciousness kind of shocks your body.

    When you are in REM sleep your body is at rest; your brain is rying to rest as well and devotes very little energy to motor function, or speech. Thusly, when you snap so quickly from REM sleep (unconcious) to bieng awake (concious), your brain has to re-initialize and reappropriate energy. This takes a few minutes. So, you cannot move nor speak until you brain has a chance to "wake up".

    Some people describe this as coming back into your body from astral tavel.
    Hence, it is known as atral catalepsy or sleep paralysis.

    My brother had that happen and when he researched it he heard someone call it sleeping with the old hagg or the old hagg was sleeping on him or something
    i dunno :P i thought it was funny, he didnt ..

    This happened to me too. But I was having nightmares and I couldn't wake up out of it, I was paralyzed. It went on for a few weeks and I would grunt to wake my boyfriend up who would shake me awake.
