  • I think that depends on which city it is- how well paid the police are, how well staffed, etc.
  • good luck with that because they work for the city and they will be there.
  • very slim. In most cases, they get paid for the time they spend in court and the court schedules all of their appearances on the same days for their convenience. It could happen, if something unforseen happened to him or her that day...but don't count on it.
  • The chance of him NOT showing up? Ever heard the expression.."A snowball's chance in Hell"?
  • As was previously mentioned on this page, one court date is picked for an officer on which all of his disputes are scheduled. This way he only has to take one day off work. Seeing as how the officer is expected to stand behind his/her tickets, it would only make sense that they appear. Unless there is a school shooting (sadly not as rare an event as it used to be), a major pileup, or a major staffing shortage, the officer should be there. You are better off prepping your case than depending on the absence of the officer. Good luck
