Help answer this question below.

What do pediatricians do all day? IS it hard being a doctor? Is being a surgeon difficult than working with children as a pediatrician? ( I want a doctor or person that is knows a docotr well, or nurse to answer this question..)

It is very hard being a doctor. I am not a paediatrician, I am an orthopaedic surgeon. I do work on children occasionally, and yes it is incredibly difficult. They have different anatomy in some places, their needs are different, alot of the time they don't unerstand why they need surgery and overall, I just feel terrible that they are in such pain. It gets me a little teary at times. I could never be a full time paediatrician. They are very, very busy people.

- Then dealing with the parents. Ahhh. Grandma's are actually the worst. You just want to say sometimes, get out and let me do my job. I work in the ER. Heaven forbid you miss an IV in an infant (because it is SOOO easy to hit a vein that small, right?). Then goes grandma, screaming, and acting a like an idiot, only further increasing the child's distress.
