Answering Part A of my own question, perhaps.. . According to this site: http://www.moretvicar.com/T-shirt-company.php , over 2 billion of T-shirts are sold worldwide every year. Quoting directly off that site...: " ... We decided on T-shirts because there is a massive market for them (over 2 billion sold worldwide each year) and there is massive potential and endless possibilities. T-shirts also have a great (romantic?) heritage. They started off life as underwear and then James Dean came along and made the T-shirt dangerous and rebellious and sexy. ... " Now, to confirm this figure.., and to figure out how much out of that whopping bunch of tees sold worldwide each year, are those that bear a superhero theme, have design elements , pictural, or logo wise, as related to superhero figures, especially the top most biggies like Spiderman, Superman, Batman, X-men, etc.. .
