    In his article on "Open Content and Value Creation"

    Magnus Cedergren defines it as "content produced not-for-profit - often collectively - with the intentional purpose of making content available for further distribution and improvement by others at no cost."

    Open content is content and information that is available to the general public and they do not have to pay any royalties to use it.
