Question

Help answer this question below.

Rachael Ray's voice annoys me to no end. Does Dunkin' Donuts really need her as a spokesperson to hawk their coffee and now their hash browns? I would think these items sell themselves to people who want them.

  • She drives me crazy, but at least she keeps her boobs covered up, unlike freaking Giada. "Everyday Italian" is like softcore porn. I do love Giada's food, but I hate the pretentious way she pronounces all the Italian words. Yes, I realize she's being correct, but it's the pompous way she goes about it that irks me. I can't stand most of the female Food Network chefs because they're so phony, especially that weird "Barefoot Contessa" lady...I have a hard time stomaching Paula Deen's voice and the Neely's are absolutely obnoxious...At least Paula cooks good food! I do love Bobby Flay and Alton Brown, and not just because they're male.

But enough babbling...To actually answer your question...Yes, they do need her or they wouldn't pay her for it. I'm sure it's costing them. But she's incredibly popular right now and using a popular icon is marketing genius. She's involved in the food industry so it's more effective and appropriate than having...Say...Michael Jordan as a spokesperson.

She won't last long, if you ask me. She's a fad. And her food is...edible, but not fantastic. Nothing extraordinary. She's popular because she's peppy. I liked her at first, but now it's just...forced and overdone and the act is stale as can be.

Dunkin Donuts is trying to get away from the "Donuts" aspect of it. They are trying to be more like Starbucks, and Rachel Ray appeals to the "Starbucks" people. Personally, I cant stand her...but their sales have skyrocketed in recent months.

Oh my god! I though I was the only one who thought her voice is annoying! I asked my friends if they thought the same and they said "its just a voice how can it annoy you?" thank you! thank you for seeing that her voice really is annoying. I would love to watch her show but I can't for the reason that I can't stand her voice. So to answer your question..NO they do not need her as their spokes person. Dunkin donuts has a reputation that speaks for itself.

She doesn't annoy me, but she is only where she is at now because Oprah is holding her up.

    The Special One

Dunkin' Donuts is trying to make itself a breakfast chain, instead of a donut chain. I, for one, had no idea they made breakfast sandwiches until relatively recently. I actually kind of like the commercial with the hundreds of tiny welders warming up a breakfast. I guess I'm the Starbucks guy that everyone hates. I also like Giada, so I guess I'm pretentious, too.

I saw her show once and never again. I heard it is going off the air. We don't get those commercials here but it would sure turn me off the donuts.

    She annoys me as well...

I think she's known to most of the nation as someone who prepares quick, easy and healthy home cooked meals. Having her would be an asset to removing the "Salad- good, Donuts-BAD" image...

I have DVR, so I don't really watch any commercials now anyway. :)

I knew there was a reason why I hated starbuck people they're all like Rachael ray! She sounds so hokey and low life that I can't imagine anyone wanting to pay her to represent their company or product line!
