Did Orlando Bloom have a stunt double in the Lord of the Rings trilogy?

    No, he did not have a stunt double; although, stunt doubles were implemented in the movie!

    Don't quote me on it, but I remember hearing in a Making Of documentary that he did as many of the stunts himself as they would allow. Orlando Bloom isn't the toughest looking dude in the world, but he is a sort of daredevil as far as actors go.

    There were certain scenes where they used doubles (I think the shield-surfing scene in the Battle of Helm's Deep in The Two Towers was one of them), but for the most part it was him.

    Probably. He doesn't seem like the toughest guy in the world. He probably would have a stunt double if a scene called for a woman to slap him.

    All actors has to have stunt doubles on movies like this. He had a stunt double as any other actor who had to be in action scenes on this movie. However, Orlando is a tough guy and he does most of his stunts himself. In all of his movies.
