Do you ever have the urge to correct a person's spelling in their question? Like, do you ever have the urge to just answer with the proper way to spell a word and not even answer it?

I must admit...it amazes me how frequently folks misspell "to" and "too" or "your" and "you're."

Sometimes I am tempted, but then I think of the instances in which I have made mistakes and someone guided me through with kindness.

I have done it before. If it looks like someone just made a typo, or screwed up on a commonly screwed up word, I don't even bring it up. If someone asks a question that is all text message speak ( Ur, ded, etc) I will usually bring it up, although I may still try to answer the question. This is the net, not a cell phone text conversation.

No I haven't and I will not. I think it's silly to correct spelling instead of giving a real answer to the question. If we would just point out the flaws of other users here, we would never get decent answers.

Sometimes. But I'm not usually motivated enough to go and correct them.

Yes. Yes. Yes!!! There's a freakin' spell check on my answerbox. Is it somehow fashionable to write poorly?
