Why do foods become more expensive when they are found to be good for you ie oats.blueberries,cranberries,pommegranates etc and other alledged super foods

Oats are actually pretty inexpensive, unless you buy the prepackaged flavored kind. The berries and pommegranates have always been expensive, because they are labor intensive to harvest, or because they are limited in the world as to where they can be grown, or they have a very short growing season.

It's simple. Because they want to make as much money as possible and the demand goes up supposedly.

I think marketing is a major factor. If a food or other product is found to be desirable, people are more willing to pay for the benefit.
