...I believe Africa ends up being farther North, so it's closer to the Arctic. Did you mean antarctic? Then... well, I suppose it depends on whether you mean "mainland" continent or any of the islands that are usually grouped with the continent!

Is this a trick question? ;-) Africa is cloer to the ARCTIC ocean, but South America is much closer to ANTarctica (if that is what you had meant).
