It's a busy day at work. You send an email thanking someone for something. Do you get irritated if they send an email saying,"you're welcome" (because it's one more email to read? Or do you like to get a response to your thanks?

If I really was that busy, the thank you email would not have been sent in the first place. If they did say You're welcome, it would not have phased me.

Great question. I sometimes wonder about it on answerbag as well. How long does the exchange go? I think it should stop at the "thanks" part, but many people go on with "your welcome". My hubby gets several hundred e-mails a day, and the "your welcome" ones are not very welcome.
