    The terse answer:
    - Electronic fuel injection
    - Emission controls (since the late-80s)
    - Engine diagnostics
    - Automatic transmission shifting and torque converter lock-up
    - Traction control
    - Anti-lock brakes
    - Stability Control, Active Yaw Control, ATESSA; any similar drivetrain mod that attempts to distribute torque to the drive wheels based on driver input
    - Any modern car stereo with digital tuning, CD players, or 7" DVD screens
    - Electronic (drive-by-wire) throttles

There are a few other places where computers are used, and not all of these apply to all cars, but this should give you an idea of how much modern cars rely on computers.

Since the 90's all cars have computers that operate the fuel injection system, and monitor all the sensors for engine diagnostics. Most brand new car computers are the whole brains for engine and transmission operation.
