The inside door handle and power locks are broken on my 1997 Ford Explorer, and I can't remove the door panel with door shut. How can I fix this?

    First mistake here is buying a ford...

    Unless you are very proficient in these kinds of repairs I would recommend a bodyshop. They do these kinds of things all the time and will give you a guarantee. If you cannot easily fix or locate the problem don't pry or force anything. This will only make it worse for you in the end. Pay the money and get it done right. Look for coupons if you want.

    On a side note - it's near impossible to remove a door panel with the door shut. Why you would try that I don't know...
