I don't mind them so much unless I'm behind them and in a hurry. And even then, I don't blame the driver. I wouldn't want him to drive faster and endanger other people, and I know he can't pull over like school buses do because he's on a schedule.

Trucks? No, not at all. The way some people drive them, yes.

My uncle is a truck driver, so I have a little bias towards liking and respecting them. However, I am not afraid to say, some of them drive terribly and scare the life out of me. I don't like thinking I'm going to die on the highway. D:

My husband and I have driven trucks and love seeing them on the road. Most are terrific drivers and are very helpful out there on the road. There are some bad drivers but the long haul truckers are pretty cool:-)

nothing but respect i let them in. keep out of their blind, spot flash my lights so they can move over, sometimes i stop at the flying j just because :)

They should have their own lanes.

respect? a vehicle that weighs 80,000 pounds while you are in a vehicle that BARELY weighs 3,000 pounds? ARE YOU KIDDING? Have you ever seen a car involved in a run-over accident with a FULLY loaded truck? I have.. The car was merging onto the interstate, and the truck could not move over, and the car made contact with the tractor's front bumper. The car then SOMEHOW ended up UNDER the tractor, then finally the trailer, then was sent flying onto the shoulder on the right side if the interstate. The car was COMPLETELY FLATTENED. It was reduced to about 1.5 feet tall. Look folks, the ONLY thing we are trying to accomplish IS OUR JOBS. This is how we earn money. We have wives, and we have childern. We have parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, brothers, sisters, friends, hobbies, and we strive to do our jobs safely, and go home. We are not out here to get in your way. Our trucks ARE HEAVY, and cannot accelerate as fast as a car can. So when you are behind us, be patient, and BACK OFF! When you pass, leave enough room between your car's rear, and my hood because if you jump right in front of me, and a deer, dog, ANYTHING runs in front of YOU, you had BETTER hit it, and DON'T EVEN THINK of touching the brakes. I WILL NOT kill myself by wreck my truck into the woods to miss you, or running to the left, and get hit head-on, or slam on brakes, and have a load shift because of your foolish driving habits. Think when you drive, just think!!
