Help answer this question below.

Why is one of my goldfish always trying to jump out of the water and swim around the bowl really fast? I have only had them for 3 days.

    You should test the water for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Chances are the water contains something that is irritating your fish.

    fish will try to escape thier homes when the the water is toxic. first of all gold fish are NOT MENT FOR BOWLS. because of the waste machines that goldfish are the best situaition it at least 10 gallons per goldfish. if you cannot afford a bigger tank than 20% water changes very often ( 2-3 times a week) will work. also things in tap water are poison to fish. the worst is the chlorine used to sanitize your water. if you are not already doing this buy a fish water conditioner and use it every time you change the water. with water changes and treating and water that comes in contact with your fish you should be fine untill you fish outgrows its home (common gold fish can grow up to 8 inches easily in the right conditions).
