I would like to switch my cable modem connection from USB to Ethernet so i can access a new wireless router. How do I get my modem to connect to the internet via ethernet? Its only working through the usb cable.

1.Turn off everything (modem, router, and pc) 2.Turn on modem 3.Turn on router 4.Turn on PC 5.Access router's admin interface 6.Check to see if a WAN IP has been assigned 7.If yes, you're in business already. 8.If no, you may need to clone your PC's MAC address so the router will get assigned the WAN IP. Most routers have this option, you might need to check your router's manual.
